Agreed on Massive, I tend to make leads and basses with it but I’d love to hear a full drum-kit or something else off the beaten track.

Also, on the FM8 front… tweaking the Easy Edit params is all well and good, but I would much rather program my own sounds! I’d love to see an introduction to the Expert panel, and how to set about bringing an idea to life from scratch, on this blog.

FM8 Kit does not work on a Mac with Live 7 installed. Is it because I need some kind of VST wrapper to handle VST plug-ins? I have many VST plug-ins installed, but I almost always use Audio Units. Maybe I never tried to use any of the VST plug-ins.

@MRKisThatKid… hmmm, that may be an interaction between Live, FM8, and the VST and AU specs … possibly a bug in one or more of those.

I’ll save the presets as discrete FM8 presets and upload those, and try loading that into my copy of Live for Mac.

That plus the Koresounds. We’ll get to it.

I only have the audio unit versions installed, any way to get live to load them instead of the vsts? Tried dropping the fm8 into a track but it doesn’t carry over the preset.

Eric, I’m working on that — I’ll release these as FM8 presets and Koresounds for people who don’t have Live (or would otherwise prefer to use them without the als). Just didn’t want to hold up this particular release, especially as Live can be useful for some.

Sounds great–I know firsthand that good FM sounds take a lot of time to develop!

But what if you have FM8 in a different host? Any hope of getting at these sounds???
