All Registered users of Reaktor 5 can download Spiral from the NI Support website updates AND the Service Centre. In the Service Centre, it should be on the Downloadable Files Page.

I’ve downloaded and installed the Reaktor 5.1.5 update. Where is Spiral?

In addition to “Electronic Instruments 2″ Metaphysical Function is included with the “Best of Reaktor V.1″ Kore Soundpack. The ensemble is included along with the Kore Sounds, the ensemble gets installed in a weird place (for my config at least).

In order to open the ensemble in Reaktor I had to copy the Metaphysical Function ensemble (as well as Titan, Limelite and Photone) from “\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Reaktor\IELibrary\Electronic Instruments Vol.2″ and Vol.1 to \Program Files\Native Instruments\Reaktor\Library\Electronic Instruments Vol.2″ and Vol.1 (on Windows obviously).

Btw, I own the full version of Reaktor but have quite enjoyed the new patches in ‘Animated Circuits’, especially as a ‘kick start’ to setting them up for the XY sound variations. Of course I myself am a hungry freak for anything Reaktor so couldn’t resist.

Another ‘Spiral’ idea, I am going to set up a MIDI ‘Note to CC’ transformer in Logic and try it’s output as controller data for various parameters.

Deciever B13 and drohnworks, the ‘Metaphysical Function’ referenced is the one from Electronic Instruments 2 and is a purchased product. The original ‘Christmas present’ MF was somewhat different internally (and less tweakable) and is found in your product downloads updates. NI has tied all of these ‘freebies’ to those ‘verified’ as owners of R5 so i don’t think there is any option to redistribute outside of their download channels.

btw, there wasn’t a specific Sound Pack post before but I posted a link elsewhere of a quick tour of ‘Animated Circuits’ , find the ‘tour’ here:

AFAIK Metaphysical function was only available freely under a locked, standalone instrument (I think NI called it an Xmas gift to the community).

If it is in the user Library I would love a link, as have been after the ensemble for ages

Really? I’ve been hearing these authorization problems. When I re-ran, it did NOT eat an authorization, so you might try that. I think this is a remnant from when they switched to the new Service Center system. My experience has been, once you get that running, no more troubles.

But seriously, if you do run into trouble, please do two things:

1. Describe exactly what happened and let us know here. (We DON’T represent NI, but as fellow NI-using musicians, happy to keep tabs and help you however we can.)

2. DO contact NI support; if you lose an authorization you own, they can and should fix that.
